Salt, is an AAA Five Diamond restaurant located at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island overlooking dune lined beaches and the ocean. Chef de Cuisine Rick Laughlin describes the seasonal menu as American Contemporary taking familiar food and reinventing them by adding his own unique twist. Signature dishes include a Smoked Shrimp and Grits , Steak and Eggs cooked on a 250 million year old Himalayan Salt Block, Florida seafood’s, and aged steaks cooked on a wood burning grill. Knowledgeable servers present salts to compliment the taste of the serving. The restaurant carries 45 base and flavor infused salts. Rick prepares a daily, four course Adventure Menu personalizing a menu using his best ingredients of the day. Brazilian cherry wood floors, paneled walls, and Himalayan salt lamps create an intimate atmosphere. Soufflés, created by a dedicated pastry chef complete the meal.
