Light Up a Life Gala: Celebrating the Keys to Success with Take Stock in Children of Nassau County

Nassau County, FL – Take Stock in Children of Nassau County (TSICN) is proud to celebrate its mission of transforming lives through mentoring, academic preparation, and college scholarships with the Light Up a Life Gala on March 13, 2025, at the elegant Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.

This dazzling evening begins with a cocktail hour, featuring a silent auction of exclusive items and experiences generously donated by local businesses and artists. The gala will be emceed by First Coast News anchors—and former TSIC mentors—Heather Crawford and Anthony Austin, lending a personal touch to the evening's festivities. Guests will enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner, crafted by the Ritz-Carlton's renowned chefs, followed by a highlight of TSICN graduates’ inspiring journeys. The evening concludes with a performance by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra pianist Julie Coucheron.

Celebrating Nearly 30 Years of Transforming Lives

Founded in 1996 by a small group of passionate educators and community supporters, TSICN was created to address the persistent high school dropout rates among Florida's under-resourced youth. Since then, the organization has empowered students to break the cycle of poverty through mentoring and full-tuition college scholarships.

As Nassau County's population grows, so does the need to support more deserving students. With each contribution, TSICN can unlock opportunities, helping students achieve success in college, careers, and life.

TSICN graduates benefit from four-year college tuition and dorm scholarships through the Florida Prepaid Foundation, providing them with the foundation for a brighter future.
