Amelia Island Plantation Community Association Ribbon Cutting

Saturday, June 22, 2024 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

Join The Amelia Island Plantation Community Association on Saturday, June 22th from 10:00am-11:00am for a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Find out how the Amelia Island Plantation Foundation (AIPF) is attracting vital pollinators to our local ecosystem and improving the curb appeal of our community on the Amelia Island Trail (the path that runs parallel to A1A) at a celebration of the first phase of AIPF's multi-year Pollinator Pathway project at 10 am Saturday, June 22. This first phase includes more than 1,200 new plantings that will attract butterflies, bees, and birds and provide four seasons of much-needed color.

Stroll along a portion of the pathway near the intersection of First Coast Highway and Racquet Park Drive where volunteers will point out the pollinator-friendly flowers and trees that have been planted in the pathway's irrigate beds. You also can register for some great door prizes.

At 10:30 am, there will be a brief ceremony including a ribbon cutting, information on the next phases of the project, and a beautiful release of over 100 butterflies.

This event is open to the public. Public parking available in the Verandah Parking Lot, 142 Racquet Park Drive.

Amelia Island Plantation Foundation is an independent 501(c) (3) organization that implements environmental programs that benefit the residents of, and visitors to, Amelia Island Plantation.
