Beach Creek cumberland coastal tourThis is how the Cumberland Coastal Tour differs from our 10:00 a.m. Cumberland Island Tour: A short way after reaching Cumberland Island, we will enter the winding waterways of Beach Creek, taking you literally inside Cumberland Island for a closer look at the shoreline of maritime forests, marsh grasses, and muddy riverbanks. The further we motor up the river, the closer you will be to the Carnegie family’s Dungeness mansion ruins, where often the feral horses roam free. If the tide is unfavorable, your journey on the Cumberland Coastal Tour will continue north along one of America’s most beautiful parks, skipping the creek, but still admiring the fascinating Cumberland Island National Seashore.
